My name is Rory Downes and I am an Integrative Psychotherapist registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy.
My aims My fundamental aim as a psychotherapist is to enable individuals to achieve more satisfying human relationships through change, acceptance or better ways to cope.
I specialise in one to one work with adults and use evidence based approaches which are proven to be effective and in most cases are recommended by the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE).
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy which is recommended by NICE in the treatment of depression, generalised anxiety, panic, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and social anxiety. In addition I am trained to advanced level in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) which is recommended by NICE for the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
LocationMy practice is located in the South Staffordshire village of Harlaston which is easily accessed from Tamworth, Lichfield, Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield or Burton-on-Trent. I have a dedicated, confidential counselling room with separate access from my house.
